We also recommend informing us about your pregnancy so we can adjust your treatment accordingly, avoiding certain ingredients that may not be recommended during pregnancy.

  • Yes. Before a facial, we recommend avoiding heavy sun exposure, exfoliating products, or other treatments that might irritate your skin.

Skincare ingredients and/or treatments that cause irritation, resurfacing, sensitivity, thinning, or weakening of your skin can make it unsafe for you to receive certain treatments and would need to be stopped at least 1-2 weeks prior to treatment. These include, but are not limited to, retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, benzyl peroxide, salicylic acid, chemical peels, laser resurfacing treatments, laser hair removal, shaving, waxing, threading, microneedling, and dermaplaning. If you’ve received any of these treatments in close proximity to your appointment, please let us know. Contact us with any questions.

  • Come as you are! We provide a spa wrap to change into if needed.

  • Children cannot be left unattended inside our suite or anywhere inside Salon’s By JC.

During Your Visit

  • You are welcome to talk if you’d like, however many clients prefer to relax and enjoy the experience in silence. If you have specific concerns or preferences (e.g., sensitive skin, areas to focus on), feel free to communicate them.

  • It’s best to put away your phone and fully relax to maximize the benefits of your facial. The dim lighting and quiet atmosphere are designed to help you unwind.

  • Don’t hesitate to speak up. Your comfort is a priority, so if you’re feeling too cold or uncomfortable, we can adjust the temperature of the bed or provide additional blankets.

After Your Visit

  • It’s best to avoid wearing makeup for at least 4-6 hours after your facial to allow your skin to breathe and fully absorb the treatments. If you need to apply makeup, use gentle, non-comedogenic products to avoid irritation.

  • It's generally recommended to avoid washing your face immediately after your facial. Allow the products applied during the treatment to remain on your skin for maximum benefits.

  • Some redness or sensitivity is normal, especially after treatments like extractions or exfoliation. This usually subsides within a few hours. If you experience persistent irritation, contact us for advice.

  • It's recommended to avoid strenuous exercise or activities that cause heavy sweating for 24 hours after your facial. This allows your skin to fully absorb the products and prevents potential irritation from sweating.

  • After a facial, your skin may be more sensitive to the sun. It’s important to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher if you plan to be outdoors.

  • To maintain the benefits of your facial, continue with a consistent skincare routine that includes gentle cleansing, hydration, and sun protection. We may recommend specific products or treatments to help sustain your results.

  • If you’re having a medical emergency, call 911.

Otherwise, if you experience signs of an allergic reaction (like localized swelling, redness, or hives) after your facial, contact us immediately. We can recommend steps for alleviating the reaction, and if necessary, you may need to consult a dermatologist.
